I hope that you had a relaxing and joyful holiday as the year comes to an end. This year has thrown everyone lots of curve balls and challenges. But we are hopefully for a new year, new beginnings, new journeys, new memories, etc. Hopeful, to have hope, to have faith, to believe that life, relationships, experiences, etc. will only grow and get better with time, hope, and optimism.
These past couple of months have challenged our family in numerous ways. Some challenges were good while others, not so much. But as the year comes to a close and I reflect on 2020, there is so much to be thankful for and so much to look forward too in 2021. In 2021, I am looking for more ways to grow.
One of the big challenges we faced was expecting a new baby (at any moment) and the challenges that came with COVID, morning sickness (constantly), and numerous other medical challenges but at the end of the day, we are blessed to be welcoming a new life into this world.
COVID taxed us with our children, education, family, work, working from home, fear, anxiety, grief, isolation, and the range of emotions could go on and on but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Vaccinations, more research and information, better information sharing has created opportunity to help control or reduce risk for many.
To grow a business: Rosemary and Lemons, as a shop and blog came to halt this past year between the baby and COVID. Being so sick, I struggled to care for my family, work full-time, care for a home, be a mom, etc. The blog and store went to the side. But with some new found inspiration and ideas, we are looking at some new store related ideas and ways we might be able to diversify and grow Rosemary and Lemons in 2021 (stay tuned).
Why not throw in a remodeling project into the mix between the holidays, COVID, baby, work, family, etc. Why not? Right? We had some small remodeling projects completed at the house in November. I decided I could not survive a major remodel (like a kitchen) but we are thrilled with these needed updates which I look forward to sharing with you 2021.
Trying to grow in joy and contentment. I think finding what brings us joy, contentment, and gratitude has been a humbling and a reflective path this past year and I look forward to building on these attributes in 2021. May 2021 bring you peace, joy, and contentment. Or whatever it is in life that you need to grow, learn, become better, be challenged by, etc. It is not our past that defines us but how we choose to grow from it.
How can we grow from 2020? What steps can you take to grow and in what way? Set intentional goals, steps, and actions and commit to growing. Write them down, stick them to the mirror or somewhere you look every day. Tackle life, challenges, joys and contentment, with grace, kindness and reflection. My hope for you for 2021, is to grow.

Remember to breathe my friend! 😎 Can’t wait to see baby pics, along with those awesome boys!!!
