A short blog today but I am so grateful for you! To my readers who hop on during the week and check out my blog, look at the photos, or comment/like something that I wrote, thank you. The blog is 5 years old and over those 5 years, there have been over 10,000 views, thousands of visitors from all over the United States and the other parts of the world.
This week, as we celebrated Thanksgiving, I tried harder than ever, to help my family and myself focus on how to be grateful, content and how to show love and appreciation. All holidays are about giving, severing others, and being kind. But with the stress and anxiety that COVID and other economic and social challenges, I think that just being kind or grateful, seems to get lost.
A few things that I started to do with my family is the thankful jar (last week’s blog); I try to show more gratitude and appreciation to others (especially friends and family); trying to reach out and stay connected to people I care about; supporting others who struggle with holidays; each day, writing down three things I am grateful for; etc. These are just some acts I am trying to incorporate.
How can you show your gratitude? I think it starts with being kind, being humble, and being content.
This blog has brought me great joy over the years, and it has brought me to you. I hope your Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are filled with love, joy and peace. I am so thankful for you! Have a restful Sunday!
